- He worked for a short while for the Bank of Montral before he was married and after he took a break from University
- He then served in WWII as a squadron leader in the RCAF. He flew Spitfire fighter planes, and rumour has it, he chased Rommel across North Africa.
- After coming home and getting married to Else Junker, he worked for a while (2-3 years) for a private air cargo company, flying into the NW territories
- His main career probalably started around 1950 - 1956 was with Zephyr Textiles. He was in sales from 1950 - 1969, then opened a brnach office in Oakville in 1956 and ran that until 1969, then headed up the sales team for Zephyr from 1969 to 1982 while back in Montreal.
